I recently attended a Jazz Fest that is held in San Antonio every year. The weather was awesome so I took my Great
Dane Buddy and decided to relax and enjoy all the fine jazz bands that come from all over to perform.
This time was a little unusual as I noticed that
several of the people that were there were people that had been displaced by hurricane Ike. They were staying at one of the shelters the city had set aside which apparently was near by. Many had gravitated towards me as they were taken in by my Great Dane. As they gathered to pet my
pup I engaged in some small talk with them and come to find out that all of them were from the Galveston area.
I also learned that they had lost all that they had and my heart was aching for them as I never have known what it is to lose all
that you own. Come to find out that these people were homeless when they lived in Galveston and were talking among themselves how they could con
FEMA into giving them money and were bragging that some of their friends already had received checks from the government.
About this time there were about six men and women wearing Tee-Shirts with the ACORN name across it and were walking and talking to people in attendance. They then noticed the
homeless
people and talked to them about registering to vote. I overheard the conversation between the ACORN representatives and the homeless evacuees. The homeless were telling the ACORN representatives that they did not have an actual mailing address and some did not even have a good source of identification. Then I heard one of the ACORN people tell them not to worry, that they just needed their names and that they, the ACORN people would provide the rest of the information. Some of the homeless went ahead and registered and others just walked away.
Well, I kind of put this out of my head until I came across the following video on You Tube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXdt20k5WtE&NR=1. Now as I read about the concerns over voter fraud I thought back to this incident at the jazz fest and just shake my head in disgust.
Will this election be stolen,via voter fraud? After all these are the very tactics put fourth by Saul
Alinsky in his books and these are the very lessons being applied by the
Obama team. I wish I would have snapped at that moment and notified someone but I didn't. However I turned an opportunity which I thought I had lost to correct a wrong into one where I could have a positive influence on this election. I have volunteered to work the polling areas as one who will be checking for voter fraud. I want to help in taking back America and I encourage everyone to get involved. We can make a difference!
